Nearpod

Click the  Nearpod  and create an account. There are options for you to load different versions of materials. You can load slides and pdf files. After that, you can create a quiz and open-ended questions. In addition to this, it helps you to do fill in the blanks and matching questions. This tool is useful especially if you are planned because everything is in the same file and in sequences. In my opinion, Nearpod is really useful when you are teaching online. It will facilitate your teaching and synchronization with the student. If you do live lesson, it will give you a Code like this. Students enter the code and join your live lesson. The teacher controls the slides ıf you make it as a live lesson. Here is my Nearpod if you want to check it:  https://share.nearpod.com/9W8qTv36EW

Thinglink

Thinkglink is an amazing tool for education. I just love it!! I believe that this really motivates students to learn. after I finish my Thinglink I asked my friends what they think and they said: we love it. We wish that we have them in our English classes. It is super easy to create. You can add whatever you want through a link or you can load from your computer. It is also possible to add video from youtube. These days I am thinking about bringing cultural differences into class. this is a great opportunity for me to try. I want to compare Americans' independence day celebration and ours. In this way, I both encourage them to speak and raise their awareness. Here is my link to Thinkling:   https://www.thinglink.com/scene/1183401798531022850

Video gaming in English Learning         Video gaming has a huge impact on language learning.   Players can also learn new vocabulary items while they are having fun. This must be considered in teaching English. If we can combine English teaching with game and fun, what would we wish more? Video gaming can be played multiplayer. That is, they are cooperative games which players can learn English through context, play and social interactions. It promotes communicative competence. In this framework, we can say that video gaming helps to teach in a constructivist approach. Learning language means moving language out of the class as well. Students need to practice what they have learned in the class outside. Video gaming provides this option. In order to improve speaking, we need to create stress-free environments for students. Games lower the affective filter and encourage them to use the language spontaneously. In this sense, games are motivating...

Here I am with Quizlet . this is amazing for especially beginners. An enjoyable way to practice new words. Quizlet helps you create your own flashcards. It is really easy to create these flashcards. When you write the Turkish version of the word right column, on the left column it gives you its English equivalence of the word. You can add pictures of the words as well. there is a chance to hear the pronunciations of the words.  For intermediate levels, you can write sentences or explain the meaning in English as well. I am planning to use this flashcard into my Turkish class. after I use I will edit my page with reviews of my students. Edit: they loved it. my lesson went really well with this and I believe that they capture meanings quickly. I highly recommend this. Here are my flashcards: https://quizlet.com/_6m6ny4 here is a picture from matching game:
